Heroes are students who choose to share their dreams.
Champions inspire students to believe in and follow their dreams.
By completing the challenge, you empower others to believe that they too, can achieve their dreams by looking to technology as a source of unlimited opportunities.

How to Participate

Create and Submit Your Video

Use this simple format to write your script before recording your video:

• Introduce your Hero Type ➝ "This is my OPEN Doors Challenge, I am a [Your Hero Type] Hero!"
• Share Your Dream
  • If you could change one thing in your life, community, or the world, what would it be?
  • What would that future look like?
  • ➝ "I DREAM..."
• Explain Why Your Dream is Important
  • What value does your dream have that makes it important?
  • ➝ "I BELIEVE..."
• Ask Others to Take Action
  • What action question can you ask others to take to be the difference in the world you dream of creating?
  • ➝ "I CHALLENGE..."

Qualifying for Prizes

To qualify for the OPEN Doors Challenge Laptop Scholarship or cash prizes, you must receive at least 100 votes (likes) for your submission.

Applicants with top voted videos will be awarded scholarships per contest rules and guidelines.

No purchase necessary to enter or win. Entry into the OPEN Doors Challenge Video Contest constitutes acceptance of these Official Rules.

The OPEN Doors Challenge Video Contest (the “Contest”) is a video submission contest sponsored by donors of OPEN Doors Movement (ODM), and other partnering organizations, including Technology for the Future, Kids Dreams Matter, and WUV Inc.

Eligibility

The Contest is open to legal U.S. students in kindergarten through 12th grade (“Entrant”).

Participants under the age of 13 must have their submissions made by their legal guardian, parent, or authorized institution.

Liability and Protection

By participating in this Contest, Entrants, winners, and their guardians release and hold harmless ODM, Technology for the Future, Kids Dreams Matter, WUV Inc., and their respective affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, or injuries resulting from participation in the Contest, acceptance or use of any prize, or any related activities.

How to Enter

Entrants may register for the Contest by visiting Open Doors Challenge during the Contest Period, completing the online entry form, and uploading an original video sharing their dream and expressing the use of technology in relation to achieving it (“Video Submission”).

Rights in Submissions

All photos and Video Submissions become the sole and exclusive property of ODM and its partnering entities and cannot be returned at any time.
